Morgen, am 01. Juni 2012, erscheint mit "Lex Hives" das neue Album von THE HIVES. Bis dato konnte man sich alle Songs des regulären Releases im Stream anhören; in den Genuss der Bonustracks der digitalen Ausgabe ist man allerdings bis jetzt noch nicht gekommen. Mit "Insane" steht jetzt auch ein erster Bonustrack im Stream bereit - anhören kann man sich den Song, der in Zusammenarbeit mit Josh Homme entstanden ist, an dieser Stelle.

Zur Zusammenarbeit mit dem QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE-Frontmann äußerte sich THE HIVES-Sänger Pelle Almquist folgendermaßen: "Basically if you have the best of American rock and the best of European rock in a room together, you owe it to the cosmos to make some music happen. Being fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss and Eagles of Death Metal and so forth, we basically just wanted to talk about the Misfits with our friend and steal his recording tricks!"
