12 Menschen sind tot; Dutzende verletzt - das ist die traurige Bilanz nach einer Filmpremiere von "Batman - The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora (Vorstadt von Denver / Colorado). Ein Amokläufer hat, nachdem der Film 15 Minuten lief, eine Rauch- oder Blendgranate gezündet und dann wahllos auf die Zuschauer geschossen. Der Täter konnte anschließend festgenommen werden; die Polizei durchsucht die Wohnung des Attentäters, in der Sprengstoff vermutet wird. Über die Gründe der Tat ist bis jetzt nichts bekannt.
